International Overdose Awareness Day 2020

Every August 31st, on International Overdose Awareness Day, we reflect on those we have lost all around the world to overdose. Over half a million people die every year to this preventable disease, and millions more are affected by their tragic loss.

Today, we must remember those we have lost and love those that are winning the battle. But it is not enough to stop there. Overdose deaths are preventable, and we must all do what we can to end the stigma around addiction and provide resources to help all in need. A healthcare provider can not help a dead person. It is time to end overdose.
